  Grandmothers say the cutest things

My sweet Grandmother called the other night after we had the Earthquake to see how we were doing. I told her I was still shakey but no one was hurt so it was ok. This morning she called and left me this message:

"Hi Dear, I have a suggestion. Why don't you bring the cat down to San Diego this weekend and leave her with me? I won't let her outside and she can have a singing contest with the cat across the way. She shouldn't be alone - there have been 600 aftershocks since the Earthquake the other day. I'm off to play bridge, but I'll be back this afternoon. Let me know."

I almost want to bring Charlotte down just because that message was so cute. My mom tries to get me to bring her down every time I come down as well.

I think these people are dog people and they don't realize that cats don't really travel well. Or at least, I'm not sure I want to try. I can't imagine it being easy to stop and get gas or food and worry about Charlotte escaping from the car somehow. And there is the issue of the litter box?? Hmmmmm.....And if we happened to make it down without her driving us crazy meowing the whole time or her getting car sick - there is the issue of her getting out of the house down in San Diego. I wouldn't be able to leave San Diego until she was found.

I think Charlotte is much safer here with the aftershocks and the honey badger.

  Earthquake!
Earthquake!

I really don't like Earthquakes! I'm still shaking from the one this morning - I can't tell if it's just me or the tremors. Last year I started running for the front door of our office and today I was upstair petting Charlotte when it started. All I could think of was I wanted to be with Marya (next door). So I ran down my stairs. Apparently this is a big No No. I ran outside and yelled up to Marya where she was doing as one should in an Earthquake, laying next to her bed. She didn't have much time to comfort me because she had to go blog. So go read all about it.

  Chapin, you're next...

Marya, what do you think about making these helmets for Charlotte and Chapin? This cat kinda looks like Old Man Grumpy Pants. Charlotte would probably be Miss Totally Pissed Off Never See You Again Pants.

  Wedding Overheard

Bridesmaid 1: Oh man, my underwear is totally going up my butt.
Bridesmaid 2: It's a g-string, it's supposed to go up your butt.
  Tizzy and Chi's Wedding - September 18, 2004

Tizzy and Chi got married at 2:30 in the afternoon on September 18, 2004 at Aspen Grove in Incline Village, Lake Tahoe. The ceremony was beautiful. They wrote their own vows and it was hard for me to keep from crying. I knew if I cried I would have mascara on my face for all the pictures following the ceremony. And we all know, it's all about the pictures!! So, speaking of pictures. Here are some of my favorites, click here to view more taken by their photographers. These are just the digital pics, there are 10 rolls getting dropped off today.

They both looked so beautiful!

Speaking of beautiful, there is my handsome boyfriend in his new suit.

A toast before walking down the aisle.

It felt like a fairy wonderland with the trees and the lanterns.

The bridal party went to take pictures on the lake, but it was too windy - as you can see by our hair and dresses. We were cold, but we were having a good time.

What's so funny?
