A belated thank you to Charlotte's Parents' Owner
Hi Marcus,
I'm Kristin, the owner of Charlotte. Marya sent me
the link to your blog with Smokey Joe's {this is Charlotte and Chapin's father} picture and I realized that I never sent you a thank you for the kittens. I'm sorry that it's taken me so long to thank you. I love the cats soooo much and have wanted you to know how much I appreciate having them for a long time.
I'm sure Marya has told you about Chapin, so I'll just tell you a few things about Charlotte. She is such a great cat. She is so loving and friendly. She is very cuddly, especially at night and in the mornings. She likes getting under blankets and rugs and playing in plastic bags. She has a very strange meow, she sounds like a baby goat. I posted some pictures and movies
here.
I have wanted a cat for a long time. It's so great to finally have one. Especially one as wonderful and beautiful as her.
Anyway, I hope I didn't come across too obsessive cat ladyish. I just wanted to let you know that Charlotte is very loved and I am very grateful.
Thanks so much,
Kristin
Bridesmaid's Anxiety
I'm in two weddings in the fall. Back to back. One is in Tahoe in September and the other is in San Diego in October. Don't get me wrong, I am very excited about both weddings. Two of my closest friends are getting married and best of all I approve and love their future husbands. It's also been great motivation to work out.
But, because I am who I am and I wouldn't love me any other way - I am stressing out about all the details. Shoes, hair, accessories, speeches, boyfriend's outfit, make-up, etc... and you can multiply this times two!!
I had a dream about a month ago that I was at someone's wedding. The weird thing was that it wasn't either of the friends that are getting married this year. I was wearing purples so it was probably Michele's wedding from the past. This is the only other wedding I've been in.
However in the dream it was one of the upcoming weddings. I never really saw the bride and I didn't recognize any people although I was running around talking to all of them. It came time for the wedding to start and I was in the car and looked down and realized I wasn't wearing shoes. Oh no - I forgot to buy shoes!! I quickly glanced around the car and noticed a beautiful purple pair right next to me. This was too good to be true!
I started to put them on when another bridesmaid stopped me and told me they were hers. I didn't recognize her either. Who are these people? Panic, stress, anxiety sets in. But, thankfully because it was a dream I woke up. All that stress probably woke me up. Or my cat did.
I think this dream has motivated me to get on top of some of the details, like the shoes. It's actually fun to have something specific to shop for. A reason to go into a store I wouldn't normally enter. An excuse to buy something extravagant.
My instructions for the Tahoe wedding were to buy something silver. I saw these on sale the other day and bought them. I thought the heart was appropriate for the wedding and the heel is just right. I don't want to be tripping and falling while walking down the aisle. I am currently waiting for approval.
I have no instructions for shoes on the San Diego wedding, but here is a picture of the dress - the color is Espresso.
I'm sure everything will work out fine and if it doesn't I'll have some funny stories to post here. I just hope I don't look like this in any of the photographs...
